Ms. Ivy currently serves as the Director of V-Senses Wellness & Spa at the Furama – Ariyana Da Nang International Tourism Complex. With over 20 years of industry experience, she is widely recognized as one of the most notable contributors to the development of wellness services in Vietnam’s hospitality sector. Throughout her career, she has consistently pursued the philosophy that wellness is not merely a service but a holistic journey where culture, therapeutic science, and human emotions converge. This philosophy has led brands and projects to receive numerous international awards, reflecting the growing appreciation for wellness-oriented hospitality in Vietnam.
Redefining the Role of Wellness in the Vacation Experience at Furama Resort Da Nang
For many years, wellness spas in resorts were often considered merely supplementary services—an optional indulgence alongside other leisure activities. However, according to Ms. Sheinette Ivy Gonda Sevilla, the way travelers approach wellness is gradually changing. More and more guests are coming to Furama Resort Da Nang not just to relax, but to restore energy and achieve balance in both body and mind.
From this perspective, wellness should not exist only as an “add-on” service, but must be an integral part of a complete vacation experience at Furama Resort Da Nang – where therapeutic treatments, tranquil environments, and restorative rituals blend together to support a comprehensive rejuvenation process. Inspired by this vision, she has been involved in developing and shaping several unique wellness brands. These ideas have taken shape in projects such as V-Senses Wellness & Spa and Renata Wellness & Spa, each carrying its own wellness philosophy.

While Renata Wellness & Spa focuses on minimalist therapeutic treatments and intensive care, V-Senses Wellness & Spa is designed as a multi-sensory wellness journey where healing rituals, spatial design, and sensory experiences work in harmony. At V-Senses Wellness & Spa, this philosophy is further extended through the development of a signature spa product line, created to complement treatments and allow guests to continue their wellness journey even after leaving the spa.
Additionally, Ms. Ivy is also the co-founder of IBH Wellness, an initiative dedicated to supporting hotels and resorts in developing spa and wellness concepts tailored to each brand and destination.

Beyond developing spa treatments at Furama Resort Da Nang, Ms. Ivy also plays a crucial role in shaping revenue strategies, wellness programs, and guest engagement models, making wellness a core component of the resort experience ecosystem.
The wellness programs she has developed are highly diverse, including digital detox experiences, longevity-focused retreats, family wellness programs, and “workation” wellness experiences, reflecting an adaptive and forward-thinking approach to the ever-changing needs of global travelers. This reflects an adaptive and future-oriented approach to the evolving needs of global guests visiting Furama Resort Da Nang.

Her contributions to the wellness industry have been recognized at both regional and international levels. In 2017, the “Detox Journey” retreat program developed under her direction was honored by AsiaSpa Magazine with the Wellness Retreat Program of the Year award. This program combines detoxification methods, meditation, nutrition, and therapeutic treatments, offering guests a comprehensive roadmap to physical and mental renewal.
At the national level, V-Senses Wellness & Spa at Furama Resort Da Nang was also honored with the Vietnam Tourism Award, one of the country’s most prestigious tourism accolades, recognizing contributions to the development of spa and wellness tourism in Vietnam.
A New Chapter for Wellness in Vietnam
As travelers increasingly seek restorative and balanced vacation experiences, wellness is becoming an essential element in the service ecosystem of many resorts across Vietnam. Today, wellness services are not just confined to traditional spa treatments but also include retreats, energy recovery programs, and experiences focused on a healthy lifestyle.

These efforts continue to be affirmed through awards presented to V-Senses Wellness & Spa, receiving further extensive international recognition.
In this evolving landscape, experts like Sheinette Ivy Gonda Sevilla are contributing to the industry’s transformation by developing spa concepts and wellness programs that integrate seamlessly into the broader vacation journey. By combining Asian healing traditions, modern wellness philosophies, and international hospitality service standards at places like Furama Resort Da Nang, these initiatives are helping to shape new wellness experiences suitable for global travelers.
Looking back earlier in her career, when she participated in developing wellness programs at Naman Retreat, the retreat concepts and experiences she helped establish contributed to the resort being recognized as the “Best Wellness Retreat in Vietnam” for five consecutive years, making Naman one of the country’s leading wellness destinations.
The growth of wellness tourism in Vietnam not only reflects changing travel trends but also demonstrates the efforts of developers, experts, and brands in constantly expanding the ways guests reconnect with balance and energy restoration throughout their journey.
